Columbus Tech is focused on education and workforce development to meet the needs of its students and communities. It provides affordable learning and workforce development opportunities for students of all ages. The college is the primary source for workforce education, training, and development in six counties (Muscogee, Harris, Talbot, Stewart, Quitman, and Chattahoochee) within the Greater Columbus area, and has been an integral part of these communities since 1961. Whether your goal is obtaining a high school equivalency, earning an associate degree, technical certification or diploma, or honing your professional skills, CTC stands ready to help. Through Georgia’s Dual Enrollment program, high school students can earn an employable credential or get a tuition-free jump start on college at Columbus Tech. Or, if you are an employer needing to advance your workforce, CTC is here to work with you to develop customized contract training.
Georgia’s HOPE Grant, Scholarship, and the HOPE Career Grant, along with federal Pell grants, military benefits, and other opportunities, make Columbus Tech the most affordable option for gaining credentials – with little or no debt. CTC’s education and hands-on training prepare students to enter the workforce with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful future and economic independence. Columbus Tech offers more than 80 eligible programs. Industry professionals collaborate with Columbus Tech to help ensure that classrooms and labs are up-to-date and comparable to what students will encounter when they enter the workplace.
Columbus Tech boasts a job placement rate of 97.1% with 82 percent of those placements being in-field. Instructors offer day, weekend, evening, and online courses for students’ scheduling convenience.
